Venus Moons is a singer-songwriter whose music blends pop, folk, world fusion, and alternative rock into emotionally rich, story-driven songs. Her work explores themes of human connection, family, resilience, identity, and the quiet emotional moments that shape everyday life.
Venus Moons is a Circassian singer-songwriter. Circassians are an Indigenous people from the North Caucasus, with a rich cultural heritage shaped by history, diaspora, and strong traditions of music and storytelling. She grew up deeply immersed in Circassian culture, singing Circassian folk songs from a young age and performing with a traditional folk dance group. During this time, she traveled and performed, including dancing the role of a young boy in a group performance featuring a fast, technically demanding solo dance. These early experiences shaped her rhythmic instinct, storytelling approach, and emotional expression in music. This background continues to influence her music through emotional depth, melodic sensitivity, and cultural memory.
Venus grew up playing piano. While she is still learning to play guitar and has written many of her songs with it, she is currently returning to piano as her main creative foundation going forward.
